The Challenge
The Florida Hospital Nicholson Center (now AdventHealth Nicholson Center), a high-tech training and education institute for surgeons, had a story most people would file under healthcare alone. Its work in robotic surgery, simulation, and telesurgery was ahead of its time, but the center was largely unknown outside of medical care, and its niche focus made broad national coverage hard to come by.
The Goal
AM PR set out to tell the Nicholson Center’s story inside and outside of the medical sphere, building national awareness and establishing the center and its chief technology officer as thought leaders in both healthcare and technology. The strategy was to find the technology angle in every research study, partnership, and solution and pitch it to top-tier national tech reporters alongside the healthcare story, effectively doubling the center’s opportunities for coverage. Between announcements, AM PR kept the center’s leadership team in front of reporters by connecting proven topics like telesurgery and telehealth to broader conversations around digital health, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and robotics.
